DNA Standards
Standards are essential for reliable PCR, qPCR, and dPCR results because they enable accurate quantification, calibration, and method validation. Especially at low copy numbers, well-defined reference standards help ensure sensitivity, specificity, and reproducibility.
PCR Quantification Standards from Minerva Biolabs are defined DNA reference materials designed for the quantification, calibration, and validation of PCR-based detection methods—both for routine applications and for microbial contamination testing. The standards contain genomic DNA from low-passage, well-characterized microorganisms. For quality assurance, each preparation is partially sequenced and titrated, and the genome copy number is precisely adjusted, making them ideal for generating robust and reproducible standard curves.
The 10CFU™ and 100CFU™ (new!) Mycoplasma Sensitivity Standards support product-specific validation of nucleic acid–based mycoplasma tests in accordance with the European Pharmacopoeia (Ph. Eur.), United States Pharmacopeia (USP), and Japanese Pharmacopoeia (JP). They can also be used independently of Minerva kits to validate in-house PCR workflows or third-party test systems.
