The AquaScreen® product line is an in vitro test system for quantitative detection of various water pathogens.
The AquaScreen® FastExtract kit is specifically designed for the extraction of microbial DNA from water samples.
The kit complies with the design requirements of ISO/TS 12869. The extracted DNA can be tested with our AquaScreen® qPCR kits for sensitive and reliable detection of legionella, E. coli and P. aeruginosa in water samples.
The AquaScreen® FastExtract kit works with flexible water sample volumes, using 0.4 µm filter membranes to capture the microorganisms potentially present. Next, the obtained bacterial cells are lysed on the filter membrane and their DNA purified by spin column. The DNA is eluted in small volumes and ready-to-use for qPCR.
Recommended Use
AquaScreen® FastExtract can be used with your established vacuum filtration device (47 mm frit) for the extraction of DNA from legionella and other microbial species. This product is optimized for high throughput and provides high quality DNA for subsequent PCR analysis.
